  • 10, lightly beaten eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 loaf, crusty, cubed or torn french bread
  • 1, diced, divided green pepper
  • 1, diced, divided red pepper
  • 1/2 cup, diced, divided onion
  • 2 cups, divided cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb, cooked and crumbled, divided sausage
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 F. Coat a 9x13-inch glass baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine eggs, milk, and salt in a bowl; set aside.. Distribute half of the bread evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle over the bread half of each of the following ingredients: green pepper, red pepper, onion, cheese, and sausage. Repeat the layering again, beginning with bread. Sprinkle black pepper on top. Pour the egg mixture over the casserole and bake 60 minutes. Refrigerate any leftovers.
